This week, Jamie Hopkins and Ana Trujillo Limon talk with Dana Wilson, CEO & Founder of CHIP (Changing How Individuals Prosper), about ensuring visibility and sustainability of financial professionals of color in the finance industry and our role as leaders and advocates.

You can find show notes and other information at CarsonGroup.com/Framework.

See it Be it honoree Dana Wilson shares her story of founding CHIP (Changing How Individuals Prosper), an online community that helps people of color find advisers and other professionals who look like them. Jordan Waxman, an adviser to professional athletes, celebrities and advocates, joins to discuss how advisers could take advantage of the recent NCAA rule allowing greater freedom for student athletes to earn income off their name and likeness.

Having the right #wealthtech in place is critical to attracting #nextgen investors and the advisors who will serve them. On the heels of their article in Financial Planning, Dana L. Wilson and Zachary Conway sat down with Matt Halloran, Influence Accelerator, at the Carson Group Excell conference to talk about how financial advice needs to change and why.

The founder and CEO of Changing How Individuals Prosper(or CHIP), a B2B financial services marketplace, Dana Wilson, explains that your advisory firm’s ability to attract, build and retain a diverse workforce begins with you and your beliefs. It’s important to align your mission, marketing materials, processes and policies to ensure that your firm is being consistent with its culture, Wilson says. Also, don’t avoid discussions about uncomfortable work issues; be courageous and give everyone the chance to share their views.

This year’s theme, Still We Rise, reflects women’s achievements and successes, rising together despite challenges. What a day of great energy and inspiration. EXCELL REPRESENT

Dana Wilson_Excell Represent_I'm Speaking_Influencer Template_Instagram.png

Excell Represent is a first-of-its-kind event, bringing together a problem-solving community across companies and channels to address the issues most critical to women in wealth management.

An event like this couldn’t come from just one organization. That’s why four companies – representing different models and approaches to financial advice – have come together to create something that’s 100% about the betterment of the industry and the advancement of the women who are here today and will join us in the future.
